    Carlos Moedas

    Managing Partner and founder of Crimson Investment Management, was previously the head of Aguirre Newman's Portuguese office and member of the Executive Board of the Holding Company.

    Prior to joining Aguirre Newman, worked in the City of London as a Banker for Goldman Sachs in its Investment Banking Division and was later on part of the team who created Eurohypo's Investment Banking Division in London.

    Carlos started his career in France as a Project Manager for the Suez group. He holds an MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration, a degree in Civil Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico de Lisboa and attended the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees in Paris.

    Carlos is currently on the Board of Directors of the Harvard Club of Portugal and is a member of the Transatlantic Democratic Institute Advisory Board. Carlos is also shareholder and board member of Win Productions.  

  • Hugo Gonçalves Pereira

    Partner of Crimson Investment Management, is also a Board Member of Mogope SGPS, a Portuguese family office specializing in private equity investments.

    Prior to joining Mogope, he worked in London as a venture capitalist in B-Business Partners and Lynx New Media Ventures, doing early stage investments in technology companies.

    Hugo started his career in Arthur D. Little doing strategic management projects in the telecoms and media sectors.

    He holds an MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration and a degree in Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

  • André Gomes de Sousa

    Senior Associate of Crimson Investment Management, was previously the head of investment department of Aguirre Newman’s Portuguese office.

    Prior to joining Aguirre Newman, he worked as project manager for a Portuguese hotel consultancy company. André started his career as a site engineer for a Portuguese Construction Company (MSF – Moniz da Maia, Serra e Fortunato).

    He attended a Master in Real Estate Management and Valuation from the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão and holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico.

  • Sandra Duarte

    Sandra assists the Board of Directors and has been PA to Carlos Moedas for the past 5 years. She attended a 3-year degree in Philosophy at University of Lisbon. She is also fluent in Spanish, French and English.
